UPPER WEST SIDE — The star-studded cast of the new police thriller “Brooklyn’s Finest” celebrated the film's premiere Tuesday night with a party — where else? — in Manhattan.

Actors Ethan Hawke, Don Cheadle, Wesley Snipes and Ellen Barkin attended a screening at the Lincoln Square Theater before heading to a glitzy after-party on the roof of the Empire Hotel.

Director and noted Brooklynite Spike Lee, “Law & Order” stars Ice-T and Richard Belzer, rapper Ja Rule and television personality Star Jones also joined the festivities.

Antoine Fuqua, who directed the Academy Award-winning “Training Day,” starring Hawke and Denzel Washington, followed up his critically acclaimed effort about crooked cops in Los Angeles by turning his lens on the gritty streets of New York City.

The movie, which opens March 5, follows the desperate lives of three Brooklyn cops each struggling with their own moral dilemmas in the line of duty.
