MIDTOWN WEST — Hordes of screaming fans descended on the Paris Theatre in Midtown Monday in search of Twilight hottie Robert Pattinson, who was in town for the premiere of his new movie.

Pattinson was due to see "Remember Me" at the Paris Theatre on W. 58th St. at 7 p.m., but fans arrived at the theater as early at 6 a.m. to get wristbands allowing them to stand behind barricades to get a glimpse of the actors as they enter the premiere.

"We were here at six o'clock this morning, got our wristbands, came back and got herded into the gates and stood our ground...and prayed," said Angie Ridder, who traveled to Manhattan from Virigina specifically for the movie premiere.

Yarisabel Maldonado flew to New York all the way from Puerto Rico to satisfy her Robert Pattinson obsession.

"I just want to take a picture with him and give him a hug," Maldonado told DNAinfo. "That's all I want and I'm going to be happy."

Pattinson gained worldwide fame for his staring role in the hit "Twilight" films last year. He recently made it back into the headlines by admitting he was dating Twilight-costar Kristen Stewart.

In "Remember Me," Pattinson plays an emotionally damaged romantic lead, Tyler, who falls in love with a character played by actress Emilie De Ravin. Pierce Brosnan, who also acts in the film, is expected to be at the premiere.

De Ravin, a television star in her own right, plays Claire Littleton on the hit show Lost.
