MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a pair of robbers caught on camera mugging a man in Harlem last month.

Security footage released Tuesday by the NYPD shows the two men walking through the lobby of an apartment building at 7th Avenue and 112th Street around 1:45 a.m. January 25.

One of the men looked back and grinned at his partner as they headed towards their victim, his uncovered face lit up by the hallway lights, in plain view of the camera. The other man is seen pulling up his hood to conceal his face.

The robbers then followed their 39-year-old victim into the apartment elevator, assaulted him, and stole his wallet and cellphone, police said. The victim was seen dragging a rolling luggage cart into the elevator behind him.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or text their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577. Or log in to www.crimestoppers.com.
