The NYPD has not made an arrest in connection to the Jan. 27 incident and was still looking for a suspect on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press.
Police would not confirm that any amount of jewelry was recovered when reached by phone on Wednesday.
A 71-year-old employee, working at R.S. Durant jewelry store at 962 Madison Ave., was shot and killed as robbers made off with diamonds and other precious gems.
