UPPER WEST SIDE — The Oscars are coming to Manhattan.

Well, at least via satellite in the Lincoln Center.

For the first time, the city's tourism office, NYC & Company, will be hosting a live screening of the awards ceremony in the center's Alice Tully Hall on March 7.

The glamorous cocktail party will give New Yorker's stylish place to bite their nails as they wait to hear whether the Harlem based movie "Precious" will take home the Best Picture Award.

The evening, where tickets are going for $150 to $225, is the end of a week long celebrations aimed at saluting New York City's role in the movie industry.

Local film insiders and movie buffs will be attending the event, according to the host, giving attendees a sniff of the real thing at the Kodak Theater in L.A.

NYC & Company is the official marketing, tourism and partnership organization for the City of New York.
