MANHATTAN — Police have identified a man suspected of trying to rape a woman in Harlem.

Michael Flores, 40, of Staten Island, is wanted in connection to the incident, which started in the Bronx when a woman allegedly asked him for subway directions to Harlem, police said.

When she arrived at her stop at 125th Street and Lexington Avenue, Flores convinced her to walk with him to 2405 First Ave., according to police. Once there, he took her to the 16th floor, where he threatened her and told her to undress, police said.

The victim pushed the suspect away and ran, and Flores fled, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
