MANHATTAN — The FBI is searching for an Inwood bank robber who looks so young they've dubbed him the "Baby Face Bandit."

The FBI Robbery Task Force released surveillance photos and is asking for the public's help in identifying the youthful-looking man who brazenly robbed the Bank of America branch on Dyckman Street last week.

The bank robber walked into the bank at 210 Dyckman Street around 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 9, displayed a black handgun to a teller and a note demanding cash, investigators said. The "Baby Face Bandit" reportedly made off with $1,300, according to the Manhattan Times.

The teller handed over the cash and the bank robber fled on foot heading east on Dyckman Street.

"Our hope is that sombody will recognize this man and contact law enforcement," said FBI Special Agent Richard Kolko.

The "Baby Face Bandit" is described by investigators as a black male in his mid-20s, 6'1"-6'3", 190-220 lbs and wearing a black knit hat, black winter jacket and carrying a black backpack, FBI Agent Kolko said.

Information can be reported to the Task Force at (212) 384-5000 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-577-TIPS. There is a reward for information leading to his arrest.
