WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — A bouncer at a popular 24-hour restaurant and nightclub was stabbed to death early Tuesday morning after ejecting a group of men, police said.
The 40-year-old victim, who has not been identified, was working at La Casa Del Mofongo on St. Nicholas Avenue when he was attacked at about 3:30 a.m. He was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center with several stab wounds to his torso. He was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Police took three men to the 34th Precinct station house for questioning, but there was no word if any of them have been charged.
The attack may have been caught on surveillance tape by one of the several cameras mounted inside and outside the restaurant.

Restaurant employees declined to comment on the killing. By 10 a.m., business seemed to have returned to normal. Flat screen televisions were broadcasting sports highlights again while customers ordered takeout coffees.
