Chinatown and Little Italy have been added to the state register as one unified historic district. Both neighborhoods are pushing to preserve their ethnic enclaves.

A nostalgic new exhibition on the Lower East Side is open on Rivington Street featuring hundreds of thousands of photographs, some 2,500, plus a large collection of heroin bags, graffiti stickers, books, posters and postcards.

Free wine in the Lower East Side this weekend! Free wine tastings in multiple locations begin on Saturday at 2 p.m.
