WRIGLEYVILLE — It's not just ticket prices going up at Wrigley Field for the playoffs.
You'll dig deeper for beer, too.
The Cubs return to town Tuesday night for Game 3 of the National League Championship Series, and fans going to Wrigley will see some price hikes.
At the start of the postseason this year, the price for a Budweiser went up from $9.75 to $10.50, and Goose Island went up from $10.50 to $11.50.
A veteran beer vendor said raising prices for the playoffs is nothing new. During the 2016 postseason, Budweiser went up from $8.75 to $9.75, and Goose Island went up from $9.50 to $10.50.
Those prices didn't come back down when baseball resumed in 2017.
The beer vendor said that none of his customers complained to him during the National League Division Series.
