LOGAN SQUARE — Last week, the team behind the wildly popular tiki bar Lost Lake debuted a new food menu, but failed to mention what would become of the adjoining Thank You Chinese space, which was gutted in a fire last year.

Turns out, the Chinese food counter has been transformed into "Stranger In Paradise," an extension of Lost Lake, where patrons can order "experimental" drinks and special food items from a rotating menu.

In other words, the bar just got bigger.

"The space will give intimate Lost Lake an increased capacity on busy weekend nights, and will allow bartenders to serve supplemental and experimental menus that will rotate themes frequently — with food specials to match," spokeswoman Carrie Sloan said in a prepared statement.

"Stranger In Paradise" debuts this weekend with a "Trash Tiki" pop-up event.

The first menu, featuring savory Cuban cocktails, will be available from Sept. 4 - 7.
