CHICAGO — For one night, Alarmist Brewing will give its answer to the city's first-ever cat cafe by filling its new Sauganash taproom with pups.

From 6-9 p.m. Thursday, the beer hall will host a fundraiser for K9 4 Keeps, a rescue agency that searches for volunteers to adopt or foster homeless dogs.

From every pint sold, $1 will benefit the organization, brewmaster Gary Gulley said.

Group members will bring three dogs waiting for adoption, and other pet owners are invited to bring their pooches to meet them, Gulley said.

The brewery will also hold a raffle to raise money for the group, offering up Alarmist gift cards, hats and shirts as prizes.
