LINCOLN PARK — "Locally Sourced" is the current buzz phrase in restaurants, and now it's serving to describe music as well.

A new weekly music series called "Locally Sourced" launches at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on the Patio at Cafe Brauer with a performance of folk, blues and rags by Mareva & Michael.

It should thus come as no surprise that "Locally Sourced" is being programmed by the Old Town School of Folk Music in two-hour slots from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Cafe Brauer, 2021 N. Stockton Drive.

The outdoor music is free but, of course, also a draw for the restaurant at Cafe Brauer.

The subsequent schedule running through August:

• June 21: Luciano Antonio (Brazilian)

• June 28: Zacbe Pichardo (Latin folk)

• July 5: V3NTO Classical (brass)

• July 12: Congress of Starlings (folk-pop)

• July 19: Tommi Zender & Tom Ryan (acoustic pop & rock)

• July 26: Silver Rose (old-time swing)

• Aug. 2: Paul Kaye (blues/ragtime)

• Aug. 9: Santa Fe (acoustic Latin)

• Aug. 16: Jess McIntosh & Aaron Smith (old-time & original tunes)

• Aug. 23: Jack Cassidy (jazz/pop)

• Aug. 30: Jonas Friddle (old-time banjo)

In addition, acoustic musician Christian Clark is holding down a summer residency on the patio on Tuesdays, also from 5:30-7:30 p.m. He'll take July 4 off, but otherwise will play every Tuesday.
