WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Police in the Morgan Park District will host an event from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Trinity All Nations Church in Washington Heights.
The police-community gathering called "Chicago's Summer of Faith and Action Kickoff" will take place at the church at 9600 S. Vincennes Ave.
With a theme of "Make Peace with the Police," the event promises music, food and other celebrations. Residents, neighbors and businesses are invited to the free event.
