GARFIELD PARK — The Chicago River isn't the city's only body of water that's going green for St. Patrick's Day.

The pond in the Fern Room at Garfield Park Conservatory, 300 N. Central Park Ave,. a beloved West Side institution since 1908, gets a dye job every year, too.

All are welcome to watch the dyeing in action. Conservatory staff, along with helpful visitors, will start dyeing the pond at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
