CHICAGO — Many of Chicago's heralded restaurants were awarded coveted stars in the 2017 Michelin Guide Wednesday.
One-star newcomers to the list include Roister and Smyth in West Loop, Streeterville's Green River and Lincoln Square's Band of Bohemia. West Loop's Oriole got two stars.
For the third year in a row, West Loop's Grace got three stars, the highest level awarded by Michelin.

Lincoln Park's Alinea also got Michelin's highest honor for a restaurant.

Michelin gave stars to 22 restaurants in 2015, including West Loop's Moto, which has since shuttered after the death of its chef Homaro Cantu.
Last week, Michelin gave 52 Chicago restaurant its 2017 "Bib Gourmand" honors, acknowledging restaurants that provide "quality food at a reasonable price."
