Watch President Obama's Live Chicago Town Hall

HYDE PARK — President Barack Obama is at the University of Chicago on Thursday making his case for Merrick Garland to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The event, scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. at the university’s Law School, 1111 E. 60th St., is expected to include questions from law students, judges from the the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and other local judges.

Obama is expected to leave Chicago in the early evening to attend a fundraising event in California.
