IRVING PARK — Mirabell's extended farewell tour finally came to an end before Christmas, when the German restaurant closed for good.

But there's still one more chance to pay one last visit to the Mirabell of old, 3454 W. Addison St., before owner Jeff Heil renovates the space and reopens as M Pub.

Heil has 50 years of accumulated German-themed mementos to unload as he makes way for his new concept, he announced on Facebook.

Beer steins, Hummel figurines, neon signs and more will be sold during an open house, with the date and time still to be revealed.

No items will be reserved or sold in advance, buyers must be present the day of the open house in order to nab a piece of Mirabell history.

For updates on the sale and M Pub, follow Mirabell on Facebook or email info@mirabellrestaurant.com.
