John Pope, Susan Sadlowski Garza Head to Runoff in 10th Ward Race

SOUTH DEERING — Incumbent Ald. John Pope and challenger Susan Sadlowski Garza will face off in a runoff election April 7 to determine who will represent the 10th Ward.

Seven contenders were on the ballot for the 10th Ward, which includes South Chicago, East Side, Hegewisch and South Deering. Pope secured 44 percent of the vote while his closest challenger, Sadlowski Garza, won 24 percent of the vote.
