UPPER EAST SIDE — A cyclist was killed after being struck by a truck he grabbed on to while riding on Fifth Avenue outside the Metropolitan Museum of Art Wednesday evening, authorities said.

Daniel Martinez, 27, of The Bronx, was riding his bike soutbound along Fifth Avenue at East 82nd Street about 6:30 p.m. when he grabbed hold of a Ford F-550 truck, police said. At some point he fell off his bike and was hit by the truck, cops said.
