
UPPER WEST SIDE — Cops are hunting for a bandit wearing a Yankees cap who allegedly ripped off a bank on Broadway and 82nd Street last week.
Police say the suspect waltzed into the Sovereign bank branch about 9 a.m. on March 23 and gave the teller a note demanding money.
The worker then forked over an undisclosed amount of cash, and the alleged robber fled on foot.
Police said the suspect is in his 20s, approximately 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, and was wearing a blue denim jacket, a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and blue New York Yankees fitted baseball cap.
