MANHATTAN — Four people were rushed to the hospital Thursday when a car flipped over on the Williamsburg Bridge just before rush hour — forcing several lanes on the span to close, FDNY officials said.
The accident at 4:45 p.m., involving at least two cars on a Brooklyn-bound lane, sent two victims to Bellevue Hospital Center, fire officials said. Two others were taken to Woodhull Medical Center.
Their conditions were not immediately known.
The accident wreaked havoc on the evening commute as Brooklyn-bound lanes on the bridge were temporarily closed, according to city officials.
