HARLEM — Two of New York's finest, rushing to aid other police officers who were involved in a foot chase, had to be cut out of their police van Thursday morning after it collided with another vehicle and flipped over, police officials said.
Police officials said the driver of a black sedan collided with the van at Lenox Avenue and 115th Street just before 1 a.m. The van flipped, trapping both officers inside.
After they were pried out, the cops were treated for minor injuries at the scene and taken to Harlem Hospital. The driver of the sedan was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where she was treated for minor injuries.
The van was towed from the intersection just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
