DOWNTOWN — Police arrested four Occupy Wall Street protesters Wednesday following a march from Zuccotti Park to One Chase Manhattan Plaza, the headquarters of JP Morgan Chase.
Hundreds of marchers had walked around the Financial District building carrying a giant mock check made out to CEO Jamie Dimon, whose Park Avenue home protestors visited on Tuesday along with other city fat cats. They railed against Dimon, who would get a bigger tax break if the state's millionaire's tax sunsets at the end of the year.
The march passed without incident until the group turned onto Liberty Street around 4 p.m., as the group headed back to the encampment at Zuccotti.
Cops arrested two men and then grabbed others from the crowd, witnesses said.
"The police went into the crowd and pulled these older people out," said protester Nisse Greenberg, 25, referring to an older man in a sharp suit and a woman who were handcuffed.
"It didn't seem like they had done anything at all," Greenberg said. "They obviously weren't doing anything the other hundreds of people were doing. They pulled them out and threw them against the truck and [the man and woman] kept on saying, 'What did I do? What did I do?"
Police used plastic handcuffs to restrain the protesters and sat them down next to a truck parked in front of a loading dock on Liberty Street between Broadway and Nassau Street.
Cops then escorted the protesters into a police van, which arrived about 10 minutes later.
Police did not immediately return a request for comment.
