MANHATTAN —An armed thief who pulled a gun on workers at convenience stores on the Upper West Side and in the East Village is being hunted by police.

The man robbed a U store on Amsterdam Avenue, at 86th Street, at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Just an hour later, he held up the Haque convenience store on First Avenue, at 9th Street.

Police said he pretended to shop before pulling out a silver firearm and demanding cash.

He is described as being between 25 and 30-years-old, about six-foot-two tall and 200 lbs.

He was wearing a black Adidas shirt and a NY Yankee Navy cap.
