UPPER WEST SIDE — Saturday morning will be sweet for the Upper West Side.

The newest outpost of Momofuku Milk Bar is scheduled to open at 8 a.m. at 561 Columbus Avenue at West 87th Street, according to neighborhood blog My Upper West.

The innovative dessert emporium, which also serves savory items such as egg sandwiches and rye croissants stuffed with pastrami and sauerkraut, has been a hotly anticipated addition to the Upper West Side's culinary landscape since it was first reported by DNAinfo in July.

Headed by pastry chef Christina Tosi, Momofuku Milk Bar is part of chef David Chang's family of critically acclaimed restaurants, which also includes Ma Peche and Momofuku Noodle Bar.

The Upper West Side location will be the largest of Milk Bar's three locations, with seating for 15 customers, the Times reported. Milk Bar's other locations are takeout counters that don't have sit-down service.

Tosi has also said that the Columbus Avenue location will have a "homey tone" and "really cute" storefront, and customers will be able to get a "full-blown breakfast sandwich and a fancy cup of coffee."

The menu will also include a pork bun filled with slow-braised pork shoulder and "topped with an optional deep-fried, soft-poached egg," according to Grub Street.

Momofuku Milk Bar is known for cutting-edge treats such as soft-serve ice cream flavored with cereal milk — the milk left in the bowl after eating cereal — and "crack pie," made with oatmeal cookie crust. The menu also includes "compost cookies" loaded with potato chips, pretzels and coffee grounds.

Want to bring the taste party home? Momofuku Milk Bar is releasing a cookbook on Oct. 25; it's available for pre-order on Amazon.
