Leave the knife and fork, take the cannoli.
Mayor Bill de Blasio chowed down on some cannoli with his paisans on Staten Island to kick off his weeklong work stint in the borough.
The pastries, from Royal Crown Bakery in Grasmere, were gifted to the mayor from Borough President James Oddo to welcome de Blasio to Borough Hall the only way Italians know how, with food.
"I don't eat minis, I eat full-sized," said the mayor, who broke the string on the box of cannoli with a staffer's keys and chowed down on a large-chocolate covered one with Oddo.
"That's good," de Blasio said about the pastry.
He also avoided another Italian food disaster and didn't use a knife and fork to eat the pastry.
