Brooklyn Man Dies Weeks After Getting Shot in The Head, Police Say

BROOKLYN — A man who was shot in the head after an argument in November died from his injuries Thursday night, police said.

Maurice Williams, 22, tried to flee the man he had been fighting with on Rochester Avenue between Fulton and Herkimer streets around 8:30 p.m. Nov. 23, police said.

Williams ran down toward Herkimer Street, but the man chased after him and shot him in his forehead, according to police.

When police arrived, they found Williams lying face down on the street corner, said police.

Emergency responders rushed an unconscious Williams to Interfaith Medical Center but ultimately were unable to save his life, police said.

The shooter had not been arrested as of Friday evening and the investigation is ongoing.
