BROOKLYN – The Connecticut father who left his 5-year-old daughter at the Port Authority bus terminal and is wanted for questioning in the murder of the little girl’s mother has been arrested, Stamford police said.

Elmer Gomez Ruono, 32, was apprehended in Brooklyn on Friday four days after he abandoned his daughter in the Manhattan bus station on Monday, said Captain Richard Conklin.

The captain did not know to which precinct Ruono had been taken.

Ruono can be seen on video surveillance footage with his daughter in Port Authority before leaving her, Conklin added.

Authorities started their search for Ruono after the girl’s mother was found killed in Stamford, sources said.

The 5-year-old was not injured and found in good condition, according to a Port Authority spokesman.
