MANHATTAN — A suspect has been identified in the fatal shooting of a teenage boy in Hamilton Heights Monday night, police said Thursday.

Pedro Valero, 42, is suspected of shooting 19-year-old Manauris Davis in the torso outside 554 W. 140th St. at about 9:50 p.m., police said.

Davis had been having a conversation on a nearby street corner when a man ran up and fired three shots, according to Jose Rivas, 50, a super who reviewed video of the shooting.

Emergency responders transported Davis to St. Luke's hospital where he was pronounced dead, the NYPD said.

Police did not release information about the suspect’s relationship to the victim, but both men lived within a two-block radius of where the shooting occurred.

Police described Valero as standing 5-foot-9 and weighing about 200 pounds.
