GREENPOINT — A woman was found dead on a bench inside McCarren Park early Sunday morning, police said.
The unidentified woman was found slumped over on a bench outside a baseball field within the park around 6:30 a.m. Sunday, unresponsive with no visible trauma, police and witnesses said.
EMTs arrived shortly after, and pronounced the woman dead at the scene, police said.
No foul play was suspected, said Captain Peter Rose, head of the 94th Precinct.
The medical examiner is determining a cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
The body was one of at least two found in city parks this weekend. On Saturday, a man walking his dog spotted a dead woman in Brower Park.
