Police Are Trying to Identify a Woman Fatally Shot in Fort Greene

BROOKLYN — Police have released photos of a woman's tattoos in hopes of identifying her after she was gunned down in the Whitman Houses Thursday morning, they said.

The woman was fatally shot in the head, leg and arm inside a hallway in 56 N. Oxford Walk, near Park Avenue, just minutes after midnight, NYPD officials said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

There were no arrests as of Friday morning, police said.

Investigators said the woman is between 20 and 35, about 5 feet 6, with blond hair, but they still haven't identified her.

The unidentified woman has a shamrock on her left calf, mushrooms surrounded by flames and "Johnathan" and "Cerenity," police said.

She also has "CJ" on her back, police said.

Investigators also released a photo of a ring she wore.
