LOWER EAST SIDE — Police have arrested a teen for sexually abusing a six-year-old girl in an apartment stairwell over the weekend.
Christian Pena, 17, approached the girl roughly 8 p.m. on Saturday in the first-floor stairwell of a Henry Street building, and rubbed his crotch in the girl's face, according to authorities.
Police arrested Pena, of the Lower East Side, on Monday at around 4:30 p.m., authorities said.
Pena faces several counts of criminal sex act and sex abuse charges, as well as one count of child endangerment, but had not been arraigned as of Tuesday morning, according to police and court records.
Police released a video of the suspect before his arrest.
