Police Release Video of Suspect in Fatal Shooting Outside Barbershop

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police have released video of a suspect wanted for questioning in connection to a fatal shooting outside a Bedford-Stuyvesant barbershop.

The man, seen in surveillance video entering and leaving D’s Barbershop at Marcus Garvey Boulevard near Jefferson Avenue, had a dispute with the 44-year-old victim on the sidewalk before shots were fired Tuesday night, police said.

Shane McCargo was shot in the head while taking cover behind a car after a fight with the gunman, according to police and a witness.

McCargo, who lived nearby on Jefferson Avenue, was pronounced dead at Woodhull Medical Center, officials said.
