BOERUM HILL — Parisian brand Diptyque, known for its fragrances, candles and skincare products, is opening a pop-up location in Brooklyn.

The temporary shop will open next month at 51 Bergen St. in the Invisible Dog Art Center and remain for six months selling a range of products, gallery founder Lucien Zayan said.

The storefront space inside the popular art gallery has hosted a number of pop-up shops in the past, including French designer Anne Willi, Australian brand Aesop and a temporary tattoo parlor from Tattly.

The mission of the pop-up space is "to bring brands to experience Brooklyn," Zayan said.

Both Anne Willi and Aesop have since opened permanent locations nearby. (Aesop's shop is next door to the gallery.)

In the past year, the small block between Boerum Place and Smith Street on Bergen Street has turned into a mini SoHo. Along with Aesop and Invisible Dog, the block is now home to handbag designer Clare V. and cafe 61 Local. Eyewear brand Warby Parker also plans to open a store on the block.

Diptyque currently has New York City locations in Manhattan on Mott Street, Bleecker Street, Madison Avenue and in The Shops at Columbus Circle.

A spokesman for Diptyque did not respond to a request for comment.
