MANHATTAN — Police arrested a man wanted for sexually assaulting and robbing a woman in the Upper East Side Saturday morning.

Gregory Anderson, 32, was arrested in Manhattan on Wednesday and charged with sex abuse and first degree robbery, police said.

On Feb. 6, Anderson grabbed a 36-year-old woman who had just crossed Second Avenue while walking along East 94th Street around 5 a.m. He told her he wouldn't hurt her, threw her to the ground, took $40 from her and sexually assaulted her, police said.

The victim ran to a nearby store where Anderson was unable to find her, police said.

The attack took place not far from Anderson's home at 113th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

Anderson was previously arrested in 2014 in East Harlem for drinking in public, according to police.
