You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll purr.
A new video by BRIC TV chronicles the unlikely tale of Smoke the Cat, the Park Slope feline who went missing in July and was found safe and sound six weeks later in Red Hook.
The video tells the story through the eyes of Park Slopers, who watched with hope then dismay as Smoke's owner papered the neighborhood with nearly 1,700 fliers to find his pet.
Smoke's plight captured the attention of childen in particular, and one dad admits in the video that his children never gave up hope long after he assumed Smoke was lost forever.
As one very Park Slope-y little girl puts it in the video, "We were walking by the sign and my babysitter didn’t really care, but I was like ‘Look, it’s a lost cat.'”
The video features emotional interviews with Smoke's owner, Jim Greene, who captured hearts with his stories of a pet-owner bond so tight that he sometimes showered with Smoke.
And of course there's an interview with Smoke, who — spoiler alert — doesn't comment on where the heck he was for those six weeks.
