UPPER WEST SIDE — The popular craft beer and Southern food spot Jacob's Pickles reopened Thursday after being closed a day earlier by the Health Department for a host of violations.
The restaurant racked up a whopping 106 violation points for a laundry list of problems, from evidence of rats and flies to improper handling of raw food, according to the Health Department.
The eatery was also hit with violations for not having food cooled properly, insufficient refrigeration equipment and improper plumbing, among others.
However, the restaurant said it addressed the problems and was able to reopen on Thursday.
"This was a routine inspection," a spokeswoman for the eatery said. "Jacob's Pickles has countered the issues and resumed business as usual."
While the Department of Health did not immediately respond to questions about a follow-up inspection, the restaurant was open for business on Friday.
Earlier this week, local French bakery La Toulousaine was also closed by the Health Department for having flies.
