Mets players lifting weights before their game against the Dodgers on Sunday discovered a baby raccoon hanging out nearby, officials said.
Pitcher Bobby Parnell told ESPN they discovered the four-legged visitor inside the weight room at Citi Field, and the Mets had a cage ready.
He was a completely chill critter and willingly entered it, he said.
A spokesman for the Mets said the animal was caught "unharmed and released back into its habitat."
ESPN reported it was set free in a "non-populated area of Queens."
It's not clear exactly where that is, although some fans on Twitter joked they could mean the Citi Field bleachers, or team owner Fred Wilpon's brain.
It's not the first wild animal to explore Parks Deparment property this summer.
Last week, golfers spotted a baby fox as they were teeing up at the 11th hole at Kissena Park's golf course.
