WOODSIDE — C.J. is a 15-month-old kitty who was found on train tracks in The Bronx before being brought to an animal shelter in Manhattan.

She was rescued from the Animal Care and Control's euthanasia list by Linda's Feral Cat Assistance, a nonprofit based in Woodside and East Elmhurst that works with feral and stray cat populations in the neighborhoods.

C.J. had a cold when she was first rescued by the group but is now fully recovered and looking for a permanent home. She's spayed, fully vaccinated and knows how to use a litter box like a pro.

This "sweetheart" of a feline can be shy around new people, but warms up once she gets to know you, according to Linda Bryant, president of the rescue group.

C.J. loves to play and gets along well with other cats, Bryant said.
