QUEENS — Oye Como Va, Forest Hills?
Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana is coming to rock Forest Hills Stadium this summer, organizers announced Tuesday.
The concert, scheduled for Aug. 14, will be part of "The Corazon Tour,” according to Santana's website.
Santana, famous for fusing rock and Latin American music, has been cited by Rolling Stone as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. He has won 10 Grammy Awards and three Latin Grammy Awards.
Tickets for the show, which is slated to start at 7:30 p.m., will go on sale Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m., and will cost from $45.50 to $125.50, according to the organizers.
This summer’s lineup already includes British singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, who will perform in Forest Hills on May 28 and 29.
On May 30, The Who, one of the most influential rock bands of all time, will take over the stadium, returning to the venue after more than four decades.
The stadium, which opened in 1923, hosted the U.S. Open until 1977, and numerous bands, including The Rolling Stone and The Beatles, have played there as well.
In 2013, the venue, which has recently undergone a renovation, organized its first concert in 15 years with a sold-out performance by Mumford & Sons.
