SUNNYSIDE — A homeless man who was fatally beaten in a Queens park last month has been identified by police.
Cops say Jose Perez, 42, was assaulted in Sabba Park in Sunnyside Sept. 7 and died from his injuries five days later at Elmhurst Hospital.
He was assaulted after being approached by three men while sitting on a bench in the park, according to Capt. Brian Hennessy of the 108th Precinct.
There have been no arrests in the case, an NYPD spokesman said Wednesday.
