BROOKLYN — Two curious kittens briefly shut down subway service when they wandered onto the B and Q lines in Flatbush Thursday afternoon.

The two felines meandered onto the right-of-way at the Church Avenue station at 11:06 a.m., the MTA said. Service was suspended in both directions between DeKalb and Stillwell avenues.

Catastrophe was avoided. The kittens eventually ran off and service resumed about 1:09 p.m., according to the MTA.

A team of MTA staff and NYPD officers were able to rescue the pair from the tracks around 6:30 p.m., a spokesman said.
