Cops Nab Man in Deadly Bed-Stuy Shooting

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police arrested a man in connection with a deadly early-morning Bed-Stuy shooting.

Authorities charged Patrick Laney, 32, with second-degree murder after he allegedly shot Paul Ridley, 30, multiple times near Hancock Street and Howard Avenue early in the morning of Aug. 3.

Ridley was taken to Woodhull Hospital, but he could not be saved.

Cops also charged Laney with criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon.
