WILLIAMSBURG — After weeks of recounts in the tight race, Williamsburg's District Leader race finally ended Tuesday with the reported victory of Chris Olechowski.
Olechowski, Williamsburg's Community Board 1 Chair, beat incumbent Lincoln Restler for 50th District Leader by 6,037 votes to 6,018, the Daily News reported.
The Board of Elections did not immediately respond to calls for confirmation, and neither candidate responded immediately to requests for comment.
