MANHATTAN — The city's mayoral race is too hot for Alec Baldwin, who ruled out a run Wednesday by comparing the field of candidates to a "horny" guy who "can't wait to get his hand up your blouse."
"I’ve lost my appetite," the "30 Rock" star said on his weekly WNYC podcast, "Here's the Thing," in response to a suggestion from director Stephen Daldry about running for mayor.
"The people running for mayor — I know this is terrible — I look at them and I say I don't see myself in that crowd," he added.
"They're like a guy on a date that can't wait; you can just tell he can't wait to get his hand up your blouse before even the lights go out in the theater. They're all just so horny for it. Horny for their own ascension."
The loose-lipped actor — who landed in hot water for comparing American Airlines flight attendants to gym teachers from the '50s during a row aboard a plane in Los Angeles earlier this month — said he has a good thing going already with his television show.
"I’ve got a good job," he said. "Is it the most creative thing in the world? Am I doing 'The Insider' with Michael Mann? Am I doing some edgy, like, finely chiseled social drama? No. Am I doing 'To Kill a Mockingbird?' No. I’m doing a sitcom. But we have fun, and it’s a family."
