MANHATTAN — Mark Madoff, the son of Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff, who was found hanged in his SoHo apartment on the second anniversary of his father's arrest, will be cremated without a funeral, according the the New York Post.

"No services, no viewing," a source told the Post. "The family doesn't want a viewing."

Madoff's death was ruled a suicide after he was found hanging Saturday from a black dog leash with his two-year-old son in the room next door.

Madoff's wife, Stephanie, had contacted her father because she was worried about her husband, police told DNAinfo. She was in Florida with the couple's four-year-old daughter, Audrey, at the time of her husband's death.

Ruth Madoff, Bernie Madoff's wife, blamed her imprisoned husband for their son's suicide.

Madoff, who worked for his father, had run into trouble securing a job on Wall Street because of the scandal surrounding his father, and had recently been named in several lawsuits related to the infamous Ponzi scheme.

Bernie Madoff, 72, is currently serving a 150-year sentence. The elder Madoff said on Monday that he would not attend the funeral of his eldest son for privacy reasons, DNAinfo reported.

The body was taken from the Medical Examiner's office to Andrett Funeral Home on Tuesday, the Post reported.
