MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — The suicide note written by a mother charged with killing her 8-year-old autistic son was released to the public Friday as the woman’s lawyer fought for her to be released from jail.

Gigi Jordan, 49, appeared in court to ask a judge to release her from jail so she could undergo long-term "intensive psychiatric care" at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Her lawyer, high-powered attorney Gerald Shargel, said Jordan, who overdosed on pills after she allegedly drugged her son to death at the Peninsula Hotel on Feb. 5, was still a serious suicide risk.

"Obviously she was suffering from some kind of psychotic episode," Shargel said.

Gigi Jordan's alleged 22-page suicide note was released by the court on Friday.

A decision will be made as early as March 19 on whether the multi-millionaire, who traveled around the country apparently looking for a cure for her son's severe autism, can be released from prison on $5 million or more bail and sent to a locked medical facility.

Shargel said the "suicide note" she left is proof of her mental state.
