UPTOWN — Wilson Avenue now has a new spot to grab "authentic African food."
The Mukase Restaurant opened at 1363-5 W. Wilson Ave. two weeks ago, according to owner Agyeiwaa Frimpong.
The restaurant offers jollof rice, peanut butter soup, chicken wings, beef khebabs, kyenam, Aponkye, gizzards, turkey tail, okra, fried yams, jerk chicken, fufu and oxtail. Deserts include cheesecake and kelewele, according to the menu.
The restaurant has seating for about 30 people and offers catering.
It is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.
All food will be $12.95 during its happy hour, from 1-3 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
