LOGAN SQUARE — An 18-year-old man has been charged with shooting a 17-year-old boy in Logan Square "multiple times" earlier this month.
Mondre Hodges, of the 2500 block of West Cortland Street, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated battery, court records show.

The shooting happened just after 4 p.m. Aug 11. Hodges and the teen were arguing in the 1900 block of North Spaulding Avenue when Hodges pulled out a gun and shot the teen in his arm, back and chest, according to police.
The victim, who was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, is now paralyzed, according to an arrest report.
A 2014 Ford Focus belonging to a neighbor in the 1900 block of North Spaulding Avenue was shot during the attack, prosecutors said.
Police arrested Hodges on a warrant in Aurora on Friday.
Cook County Judge Laura Sullivan denied Hodges bail Saturday. He is next slated to appear in court Sep. 1. Hodges has no other adult criminal history.
